SCOPE OF WORK
Design, supply and erect compressor and control buildings.
Both buildings not to exceed 33 dBA at 300 ft. (91 m). The compressor building also had to meet 59 dB in the 31.5 Hz band and 55 dB in the 63 Hz band.

INNOVA used its acoustical assemblies for the walls and roof of the compressor building. The building’s fans, silencers, explosion relief panels, personnel doors and equipment doors were also acoustically treated to meet the required dBA. INNOVA acoustical assemblies were used for the exterior walls and roof in the service area, boiler room and battery room of the pre-engineered control building. Acoustical treatment continued with the windows, personnel doors and equipment doors. In addition, the installation of the crane and hoist fell under INNOVA’s scope of work.
UNIQUE PROJECT HURDLES
A high level of attenuation was required in the low frequencies for this project. As test measurements in frequencies lower than 100 Hz are often uncertain, INNOVA relied on the results of field testing on similar projects in its design.
Station 211 met all of the noise level targets.
